About HERJU Consulting GmbH
Consultants who also ship.
HERJU Consulting GmbH is an IT consulting company working across strategy, software engineering, cloud, security and data. This page explains how we think and how we work.
01 — Company overview
Advice and delivery in one place.
Many organisations receive recommendations from one party and hand implementation to another. Context gets lost in that gap. We were set up to close it: the same team examines the problem, proposes an approach and, where useful, builds it.
Our engagements range from focused architecture reviews to multi-phase software and infrastructure projects. In each case we aim to leave clients more capable of running their own systems than when we arrived.

02 — Working philosophy
Understand the business, then shape the technology.
Technology choices carry costs for years. We take the time to understand how an organisation earns, serves and operates before proposing changes, and we explain trade-offs in terms that non-technical stakeholders can weigh.
03 — Approach to consulting
Evidence, options, then a recommendation.
- 01
Listen and observe
Interviews and walkthroughs with the people who use and maintain the systems.
- 02
Map the landscape
Applications, data flows, dependencies and known pain points, documented.
- 03
Present options
Two or three viable paths with cost, risk and effort described honestly.
- 04
Recommend and support
A clear recommendation, plus help carrying it out if you want it.
Mapping each layer is part of every assessment
04 — Engineering values
Clarity over cleverness
We prefer solutions that a new team member can understand in an afternoon.
Reversible where possible
Early decisions are kept easy to change until there is enough evidence to commit.
Measured, not assumed
Performance, cost and reliability claims are checked against real data.
Maintenance is part of the design
We consider who will run a system before deciding how to build it.
05 — Collaboration model
Embedded, transparent, accountable.
We usually work inside your communication channels and tools. A named contact on each side keeps decisions moving. Progress, open questions and risks are shared in writing at a regular cadence agreed at the start.
Depending on need, we can lead a workstream, augment an existing team, or act as an independent reviewer.

06 — Quality principles
Quality is agreed up front and checked continuously.
Defined acceptance criteria
Each deliverable has criteria both sides agree on before work starts.
Peer review
No change reaches production without a second set of eyes.
Honest status
If something is behind or at risk, we say so early and propose options.
